Losing Hope On Love

We live in a world that is clothed in darkness with the only bit of light coming from a device we hold in our hands. People have lost touch with what real is, trying to keep up with the rest of society and not being able to grasp true everlasting joy. I am starting to think that people don't know what that feels like anymore, or that maybe they don't even care to want to feel it. I am witnessing my generation growing in rebellion, living in grief, craving revenge and purposely finding opposition just to obtain attention.

There is a lack of hope. A lack of love.

It doesn't take a pair of functioning eyes to be able to see the lack of hope, faith and love. People are building on a foundation made of sand and trying to love from a broken place or trying to receive love from broken people. Deception strides among the ground of the earth. There are also so many striving for success just for their own benefit and self praise, for likes and shares, and a level of popularity.

The broken vase.

When you are broken, all your "contents" leak, much like a broken vase. You have weak spots that only become weaker over time. Your "cracks" get larger and sometimes become an open hole. We often reach for a band-aid to hold us together, cover up our holes and seal the cracks, but over time we begin to "leak" again. Our band-aids can be a symbol of empty promises, false confidence, and even taking on a false identity rooted in other people, ideas or material things. Band-aids are a nice quick fix, they cover you up really well and if you don't get the cheap kind, they can last for quite a while before they lose their adherence. But they only cover up, and they eventually fall off.

You need something stronger.

What you need is to be soldered with pure gold, a strong, solid fix to the cracks and holes with a tight seal that will never fail. Why pure gold? Because it won't ever tarnish, can survive unchanged for thousands of years, and very strong as it can withstand tension without breaking. The gleaming shine of gold never lets you forget your broken areas but it is also a reminder of beauty that came from "healing" those places.

There's good news! Your broken places are not who you are. Your mistakes do not replace or define your character. But, they need attention and they need it now. You simply can't receive the joy you want, the fulfillment you desire and the healing that you so desperately need if you continue to cover up your brokenness with temporary fixes. You need something stronger, something permanent, something unchanging and everlasting.

I am not flawless, I have fallen too.

It has become so easy to want to cover up the places you are broken in attempts to be a better friend, mother, father, wife, husband, daughter, son, or to be better for yourself. False hope is fed and even SOLD to you through social media. The world likes to impose certain ideas on you, which create a false identity in your mind for that temporary feeling of love, hope and joy. I have fallen for it myself many times in the past, trying to live out an idea, when I should have been living on the true promises of God. All that it did was turn my heart cold and slowly I began to lose hope on love in the world.

When you get desperate, you will do anything to find love, hope and joy again. But, no matter what you do, God continues to wait for you to finally leave it all in His hands. Even when you make a wrong decision, you can return to Him and receive mercy! (THANK YOU JESUS!) He can mend you, strengthen you, and will never forsake you. God is the same He was in the beginning and will always remain the same in the end. Don't lose hope but have faith and remember that believing does not come by seeing--that is the test in life. God has no favoritism or partiality and He welcomes everyone with mercy and best of all LOVE.

Are you ready?

Do you know who you truly are or do you still find yourself feeling lost? Where is your identity rooted and what is supporting it's growth?

That pure gold I spoke about, it exists for you right now. You don't have to wait, you don't have to "pre-order" it and you don't have to pay to receive it, because the cost was already paid for you. Your gold comes from Jesus through salvation; it is pure, strong, forgiving, and unchanging, makes you new and clothes you with beauty.

Time to level up.

Get a hold of the pure gold. Allow God to mend your broken places permanently. It is time you level up and step into the place you were created to be in. He is the only one who can fix your broken, and in place, seal it with beauty and strength. What ever you are going through right now, you can and will overcome it. Stop looking behind you and beside you, your blessings are not waiting there. They are right in front of your face. God is love and love is in you, so carry the true light and your authentic voice given to you by Him. Don't be discouraged by what you see around you! Don't lose hope on love. 💓

"Therefore, don't let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of what was to come; the substance is Christ. Let no one condemn you by delighting in ascetic practices and the worship of angels, claiming access to a visionary realm. Such people are inflated by empty notions of their unspiritual mind. He doesn't hold on to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and tendons, grows with growth from God." - Colossians 2:16-19
