I was gone.

I was gone. 

But, not for too long. 

It feels like it's been months upon months since I last blogged. I could blame it on being busy, but in fact I was making excuses as to why I couldn't blog just yet. Despite appearing busy with new ideas and business ventures, I truly was trying to deal with my own health concerns. If I can be totally honest with you all, I haven't been eating right, sleeping right, intentionally praying enough, and definitely not taking time off of social media to focus. 

I actually fell into a short period of feeling diminished but I quickly found out it was God telling me I NEEDED to get my life organized. From my actual home, down to my ideas and prayer life. I seen a close friend of mine share a post of her brand new journaling bible, prayer journal, and yearly planner book. When I saw her post, I immediately felt a nudge to get organized through a planner, but not just a regular planner. 

Do you know how much planners can cost?

Good grief, they can get as expensive as $40!! I have purchased sooo many planners in my lifetime only to start it for a couple of days and then put it up somewhere. They are all pretty much the same, the layout is all similar and the designs vary. I think that is what always gets me...the beautiful designs, the customized layouts, pretty tabs, LOTS of stickers and tons of space to write. But that wasn't going to cut it for me this time. I knew I needed something different, something that was going to be specific to my needs, being a busy stay-at-home mom (soon-to-be busy working mom).  I didn't find anything that fit what I was needing and I definitely did not want to spend another $30-$40 on a fancy planner. So I did what my artistic side naturally does...create my own!

Without God.

Now that I am in my late 20s, coming to know God and learning about the bible (on my own through research, guidance from the Holy Spirit and a lot from great spiritual leaders), I know that I never want to go without God. I know that I can't and won't make any moves without God being at the forefront, as my number one priority. So, we all know that prayer is key. Everyone always says "pray about it." But what happens when you just don't know where to begin, or you feel awkward about it and just don't really feel like praying? This is the trouble I found myself in. I was having difficulty getting all my requests and prayers out and I was putting off prayer out of fear that I wasn't doing it "right" and that I just didn't have the "right words" to pray. SO WRONG. There is no right way to pray or right words to pray. God doesn't look for you to come to him with a speech prepared of eloquent wording in proper sequence. He just wants you to come and have a talk with Him, just as He is, your Father. "Hey Dad, thank you for having my back today and letting me see the end of this day healthy." You know?

While creating my planner I wanted to not only have an organized calendar, but I wanted to include a prayer journal within the planner so that I could INTENTIONALLY and consistently pray and keep track of all my answered prayers ( YES God WILL answer ALL your prayers). It is a wonderful way to get your strength and courage up. I also wanted to have kind of like a guide to help me begin my prayers and understand/hear God better. 

Personal Prayer Journal & Planner

When I created the rough draft of my idea, I shared it with another close friend who encouraged me to make it into a digital format to help others. I immediately felt that it was something I absolutely had to get started and completed by the end of the day. Just as I knew it, I finished an entire digital format of my very own customized journal/planner for busy mothers!
